We only have one Earth, and we only have one Sky. We are only granted one life between this Heaven and Earth and while here we only get one body. This body is a free gift to each and every one of us. Some believe that this body is the vehicle for our spirit while in this physical world. The purpose of which is to assist us on our path towards spiritual enlightenment. In A Course in Miracles it reads, "The body does not exist except as a learning device for the mind." And the mind is what connects our perfect spirit to an imperfect body. So it is this body that we find ourselves in that is here for our learning, our development, our pleasure, and our pain- a place to call home.
"Etched in the flesh and posture of our bones are our pains and our joys."
Our physical body is a direct reflection of our unconscious mind and the closest representation of our spirit. How we treat or mistreat our body indicates how we treat our own spirit and the value we place on our own precious life. From exercise, the quality and quantity of foods we consume, the thoughts that we habitually think, to our stress levels and the efficiency of our body, our health and vitality depend on our ability to not only prevent illness and disease but to become totally alive from our head down to our toes.
Although often thought of as separate, our body is actually extremely interconnected with our mind, our spirit, our thoughts, our emotions, and our life-energy. It is absolutely impossible to have a completely healthy body without addressing all of the other interconnected aspects of our system.
Our thoughts, our emotions, our life-energy, and our spirit all create and perpetuate our current physical body. Science tells us that our body is comprised of an estimated 50 trillion cells. Every single cell of which is extremely specialized and has a specific function and purpose. In fact, as you read this, parts of your body are being replaced this second, some take a few days, others take a few months, and some take a couple of years. But within a few years you have a completely brand new physical body. If the body naturally regenerates on it's own, and if our body is producing "bad cells" or "bad tissue" then it is often a result of something that we are doing as part of our lifestyle that is interfering with the body's natural and perfect process. Again, this interference can come in the form of diet, environment, lifestyle, relationships, beliefs, habits, addictions, thoughts, emotions, trauma, and life-energy.
So, if you want your body to change, you must change. If you want your body to get better, you have to get better. If you want your body to heal, you must heal. And it all happens from the inside out.
